It locates in the summer resort dotted with the villas between larch trees. It is mainly used in the summer.
It was designed as a house with the winter space and the summer space. The winter space is a ordinary indoor space. The summer space is a terrace with the half-interior form. The terrace has the roof and floor, and one side is opened to the woods. The opened side is covered with a mosquito net and a glass window. In the summer, the glass door between both spaces is open-wide. The terrace is used as indoor extension and life space. In the summer, their life domain has a spread at the maximum.
In the winter, the glass door between both spaces is closed. Translucent vinyl chloride corrugated sheet is inserted in front of the mosquito net. It shuts off entering cold in the terrace directly from outside. The summer space becomes the buffer zone of cold between the outside and the winter space. In the winten.
Between the summer and winter, the size of the life domain contracts as changing the clothes, and the scene from the villa is also changed: not only from green to snow but from entire clearness to partial clearness and vagueness. I thought, in the small house, changing becomes getting a spread.
The exterior image was designed so that it might been there between long time. The material and finish bring from the vernacular vocabulary. It considers the locality and the environment. But, by designing more simply than surrounding villas, the exterior image seems to be different somewhere, having a common feature.
